Afia Yamoah, Ph.D.

Dr. Yamoah is a Research Associate with the Center for Economic Development. She specializes in Regional and Community Economics. Dr. Yamoah has experience with survey implementation and has worked on county government surveys for a number of years. She also has experience with collection and analyses of large social science datasets.

Dr. Yamoah holds a Bachelors degree with honors in Agricultural Science from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana (1998). She holds a Masters degree in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics (2001) and a Masters degree in Economics (2002) both from The Ohio State University. Dr. Yamoah also holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics from The Ohio State University (2007). Her dissertation focused on decentralization and its effects on economic growth in U.S. counties.
