Frances Hunter is the Coordinator of the College's graduate assistantships and internships. In this capacity, she is responsible for all aspects of the internship program for the Ph.D, MPA, MSUS, MPA/JD.MUPDD and the MUPDD/JD students. She is the manager of the Graduate Assistant program and serves as an adjunct professor with the Department of Urban Studies. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in education, program management, public affairs, racial justice and community development. She holds a Master of Urban Studies, Cleveland State University specializing in organizational leadership and public management and a bachelor of Arts, California State, Hayward, and an Urban Education Certificate, University of California Berkeley. She has also received an educational policy fellowship in leadership development from George Washington University, Washington D.C. She is the recipient of the Cleveland State University Distinguished Alumni Award, Civic Achievement, Curtis Wilson Distinguished Black Alumni Award and the Howard I. Bruce Award for outstanding graduate of the Masters in Urban Studies. She produced the Bicentennial video, "African Americans: Time to Tell the Story". She serves on the boards of the Cleveland Public Library, Northeast Shores Development Corporation and the Urban Liberties Council. She is a member of the American Society for Public Administration and the Conference of the Minority Public Administrators. Sample Syllabi: |
