Immergluck, Dan
M. E. Sharpe, Inc., 2004
This volume offers an extensive examination of the problems with community reinvestment and fair lending policies. Immergluck delineates the history of inequity in lending and American mortgage and recognizes the doggedness of such troubles today. He also scrutinizes the role that government has played in developing banking and credit markets in the United States. Finally, he suggests a number of policy modifications in order to bring the nation's fair lending and community reinvestment laws into modern times.
