Kendra Daniel holds a master’s degree in Gerontological Studies and has worked at area nonprofits around advocacy issues for older adults. She currently coordinates programmatic activities of the center and oversees all budgetary and proposal requests. Specifically, she assists in implementing federal grants around the issues of cultural competency for long-term care workers and a community-based participatory research project in the Central neighborhood. Additionally, she helped revamp the undergraduate and graduate certificates in Gerontological Studies to make the certificates more comprehensive and accessible to non-traditional students currently working in the long-term care field. And currently, she serves as a lecturer at Cleveland State University with the Department of Health Sciences.

In 2004, Ms. Daniel accepted a volunteer position with the United States Peace Corps in Bulgaria as a Community and Organizational Development Volunteer. Ms. Daniel used her development and gerontology skills to assist the town of Nova Zagora with submitting proposals to the European Union and other national foundations for infrastructure of the region’s long-term care network.
