Melanie holds a Master of Arts degree in Global Interactions with a focus in Business from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Cleveland State. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Allegheny College.

In Ms. Furey’s role with Senator Voinvoich she investigates and researches government documents, election results and correspondence between political officials to analyze trends and archive paperwork in order to design ideas for a book concerning the Senator’s political career. She is also involved with organizing the Senator’s archives for classroom use and encouraging students and faculty to use the archives in their research work.

Ms. Furey is involved with the Organization for Global Interactions and was the Co-Director of the First Annual Symposium on International Business, Law and Politics.
