James Wyles holds a Master's degree in geology and was formerly a petroleum/GIS (geographic information systems) project manager in the private sector. Mr. Wyles manages public and private agency projects dealing with GIS spatial analysis and mapping. His involvement with client GIS projects includes analyses, technical assistance, research, and support including set-up of GIS operations when needed. As an adjunct faculty member, Mr. Wyles teaches graduate-level GIS related courses. He also provides GIS technical support to faculty and staff in the Levin College.
