Roberta Steinbacher is a Professor of Urban Studies with a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from St. Louis University. Prior to her appointment in the Levin College, Dr. Steinbacher taught at St. Louis University, Marillac College, and the Department of Psychology at Cleveland State University. Her research interest in reproductive technology has led her to publish in such journals as Social Biology, Journal of Psychology, Journal of Personality Assessment, and the Journal of Genetic Psychology. She has co-authored three editions of the textbook, Introduction to Urban Studies, and co-authored Man-made Women, which focuses on the impact of new reproductive technologies on women and society. Dr. Steinbacher teaches courses in urban issues and public policy.
