The Levin College Forum and PNC Bank will host the first annual forum on the “State of the Northeast Ohio Economy.” It will highlight important economic trends, issues and prospects that need to be watched, innovations taking place in Northeast Ohio, and some key indicators of our region’s economic health.

The forum will feature a moderated discussion with Robert A. Dye, Ph.D., Senior Vice President and Senior Economist, PNC Financial Services Group, and Edward W. (Ned) Hill, Ph.D., Dean and Professor, Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, Cleveland State University.

About the Speakers:

		Robert A. Dye, Ph.D. is senior vice president and senior economist for The PNC Financial Services Group. He directs PNC’s U.S. macroeconomic model and is responsible for contributing to PNC’s analysis and forecasts of key economic and financial trends nationwide and globally, including daily economic releases, the weekly Market Expectations Survey and the monthly National Economic Outlook. In addition, he provides regional economic analysis for areas within the eastern half of PNC’s core economic footprint. Dye provides economic analysis for a variety of media outlets and presents the PNC Economic Outlook throughout the United States. He is a member of the National Association of Business Economics and is past-president of the Economic Club of Pittsburgh.
		Edward W. (Ned) Hill is Dean and Professor of Economic Development at the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, Cleveland State University; Nonresident Senior Fellow of The Brookings Institution, where he is affiliated with the Metropolitan Policy Program; and Nonresident Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Urban and Regional Development at the University of California at Berkeley. He is a member of the National Advisory Board of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) and is also affiliated with the Faculty of Economics at the University of Rijeka in Croatia. Hill writes on economic development and urban public policy and edited Economic Development Quarterly from 1994 to 2005.
