Leadership Academy Curriculum

Academy Curriculum | Participating Organizations | Program Eligibility | Program Resources

In the Leadership Academy, you have access to experienced experts and distinguished faculty in a coordinated and sequenced training program. The nine curriculum units are based on feedback from in-depth interviews and focus groups with leaders in the region. The Leadership Academy Advisory Board, composed of graduates, guides the Academy's direction to keep its curriculum on the cutting edge.

The Leadership Academy requires a big investment-your time. As a Fellow, you will be asked to make a commitment to participate in the nine curriculum modules. The modules run once every three weeks over a six-month period. This schedule is designed to fit into the busy lives of active leaders.

The Leadership Academy offers follow-up learning opportunities. Through the Academy network, graduates extend their learning beyond the training program itself. They are part of this life-long learning network. This network will help you find solutions to leadership challenges that do not exist today but you know will be there tomorrow.

Leadership Academy fellows blend their different perspectives and examine local issues along five leadership dimensions:

  • Personal development and advanced communication skills
