
Cleveland State University student Kara Chernet, has been chosen as The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Leadership Fellow. The Port Authority's Leadership Fellows Program is a highly competitive, distinguished program for leadership and public service in the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan region. This two-year, fast-track, rotational program offers Port Authority Fellows invaluable on-the-job experience in planning, financial, and facility operations functions Kara will graduate from the Levin College of Urban Affairs with a Master of Public Administration in May.
CSU student Kelly Snider has been named a finalist in the competition for the prestigious Presidential Management Fellows Program. Ms Snider will graduate from the Levin College of Urban Affairs with a Master of Public Administration in May.
The President Management Fellowship Program is a federally funded government program under the auspices of the United States Office of Personnel Management that recruits students who have demonstrated "a clear interest in, and commitment to, excellence in the leadership and management of public policies and programs" and helps guide them into jobs in public service agencies across the nation.
CSU Student Holly Cooper Whisman, BA summa cum laude 2007, and an Honors Program participant, has received the Ohio Board of Regents' Graduate Fellowship for 2008-2009! Students are nominated by their undergraduate colleges and universities on the basis of evidence which indicates strong academic achievement and a high potential to succeed in a graduate or professional program of study. Generally, at least one Regents Graduate/Professional Fellowship is awarded to a student from each nominating undergraduate institution. Holly was CSU's top choice.
