NEW Student Announcements on the Web

There is a "student announcements area" on the Levin Colleges website linked from the home page.  If faculty want to announce a conference, etc. you can have it posted by sending it to Caryn Eucker at c.eucker@csuohio.edu.

Health Equity Advisory Committee

Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs’ Center for Health Equity has been making significant progress on its NIH grant – Project EXPORT.  The overall goal is to develop a comprehensive, coordinated, and collaborative program of recruitment, education, and retention designed to expand the workforce of health providers, researchers, and faculty working to reduce health disparities.

To sustain the project’s efforts, we would like to invite faculty from across disciplines with an interest in health inequalities or health disparities to our inaugural Health Equity Advisory Committee.   This committee will develop a continuity of communication and bridge between research and academic programs that address health inequalities in the broadest sense as we look at the challenges facing our urban communities.   More importantly, through the College’s junior faculty mini-grant program, expertise and collaborations to align research interest will be explored.

Please join us on Thursday, April 9, 2009 from noon – 1pm in Parker Hannifin Hall Room 103.  Lunch will be provided. RSVP is required to Kendra Daniel at k.daniel@csuohio.edu to ensure a lunch.
