Brudney, Ph.D., Albert A. Levin Chair of Urban Studies and Public Service, presented a lecture and workshop on "The Return on Investment in Volunteers: It All Hangs in the Balance…and on Management" to The Forum for Volunteer Administrators (FVA). The FVA is the largest membership association of volunteer administrators in Ohio. Assistant Professor Ronnie A. Dunn, Ph.D., lectured on racial profiling, as part of Black Aspirations Week. On May 4, Dunn will present a book discussion at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City—the top criminal justice school in the country. An article by Assistant Professor Stephanie R. Ryberg, Ph.D., will be in the May issue of the Journal of Planning History (Preservation at the Grassroots: Pittsburgh's Manchester Citizens Corporation and Cincinnati's Mt. Auburn Neighborhoods, Volume 10 Issue 2 May 2011 pp. 139 - 163). Alum LaKeda Drummer is a member of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance City Advocates program Class of 2011. The DCA is tasked with revitalizing downtown Cleveland. LaKeda earned her Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in health care management in 2010 and works at the Cleveland Department of Public health. In an article about the importance of financing a clean Lake Erie, the Cleveland Stater's March 24 issue quotes Jim Kastelic, a long-time part time instructor for the college, about the 2009 MUPDD Studio Project that focused on a Lakefront Revitalization Plan. The project was led by Levin College is mentioned in The Plain Dealer article on the Cleveland Institute of Art’s annual Spring Design Show.
