Congratulations!

Levin College's Center for Leadership Development was one of 12 recipients of the Innovative Transit Workforce Development Program! We have been funded at $286,687 and together with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) we will train (up to 90% of current) GCRTA managers in a public management certification program. The program will enhance the retention, development, and attraction of leaders for GCRTA and function as a national training model for the transit industry. The goal is to enable agency managers to transfer 'best practice' management theory into practical application.

Levin College Welcomes...

Jack Boyle, former Vice President for Business Affairs and Finance at CSU, is working with the Center for Leadership Development on public financial management and leadership development in city and county government. Boyle has already given 22 years of service to CSU in various roles. While on the job, he earned a Masters degree in Urban Planning, Design and Development from the Levin College in 2002. The skills and knowledge he obtained proved instrumental in bringing forth CSU’s master plan into reality. During his time as VP he oversaw the development of numerous facilities around the campus all the while maintaining an affordable university.

Lee Fisher, former Lieutenant Governor of the State of Ohio and Director of the state’s Department of Development, will be working with the Center for Economic Development in his capacity as a Senior Fellow of the College and as the President/CEO of CEOs for Cities. Fisher has a long career of working for the good of Northeast Ohio. Before his election as Lieutenant Governor, he served as a member of the Ohio General Assembly, first in the State House of Representatives and then in the Senate. He has also served as Attorney General of Ohio and as the leader of the Center for Families and Children in Cleveland.
