IML Hardware

Hewlett Packard Computer & Scanner:
This computer is reserved for use by Urban students, faculty, & staff for scanning usage. HP Scanner will serve all your scanning needs. All LCUA faculty, staff, and students will be able to scan photos and edit text. This scanner will be used on a Dell computer whose only function is scanning.
iMac:
This workstation is designed for professional graphic and web editing. Software on this computer includes Apple, QuickTime Pro, iPhoto, Adobe Photoshop; and Microsoft Office.
Production Computer 1:
This workstation is designed for graphic design, web development, CD-ROM production, and basic audio and video editing. Software on this computer includes Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive, and LiveMotion; Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Freehand, and Fireworks; Microsoft Office; Apple iMovie, iDVD, and iPhoto.
Production Computer 2:
This workstation is designed for professional audio and video editing. Software on this computer includes Apple Final Cut Pro, QuickTime Pro, iMovie, iPhoto, and iDVD; MOTU AudioDesk; Peak DV; Adobe Photoshop; and Microsoft Office.
Webcasting Computer:
This workstation is designed for webcasting college forums, classrooms, and urban events. Software on this computer includes Terran Cleaner, Supercharger, and Charger; Sorenson Squeeze (Compression Suite), Broadcaster, Video; Adobe Photoshop; and Imovie.
Compressing Computer (Rialto):
This workstation is designed for compressing audio, video, and graphics files and DVD production. Software on this computer includes Apple DVD Studio Pro, QuickTime Pro; Terran Cleaner, Supercharger, and Charger; and Adobe Photoshop.
PowerMac G5 1:
This workstation is designed for post production. It is also used for compression of video files.
Powerbook G4 1:
This workstation is designed for technology staff. Only a authorized personnel of the tech team can use this laptop.
Powerbook G4 2:
This workstation is designed for displaying powerpoint presentations and graphics during Forum, Classroom, and College events.
Dean's Powerbook G4 3:
This workstation is designed for displaying powerpoint presentations and graphics during Forum, Classroom, and College events.
iBook G3:
This workstation is designed for displaying powerpoint presentations and graphics during Forum, Classroom, and College events.
Bijou:
Bijou is our Quicktime Streaming Server. This server will hold all of our video and audio clips for internal and web distribution.
DVD/TV/VCR:
Dvd, Cd, and VHS production usually takes place within this area. All media is tested before it is presented to the general public.
DVD Duplicator:
Only, Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs and University, classrooms, internal and external, events are duplicated within the IML.
Motu 828:
Motu is designed for rendering and editing audio.
Sony DV Converter:
Sony Converter is designed for use with IML webcast.
