    • For all homeworks: write concisely (at most 2 pages), but in sufficient detail that items do not appear vague or general. Where necessary, give your reasoning. Type and proofread.

     WEEK 3: HW1 due
    Think of a real situation most like a 2-party, one-time, fixed-sum game. (It can be a story from your experience, or a current event.) Describe it briefly. Then analyze it in terms of:
    • What goals the players might have
    • What strategies the players might use to get the best outcome for themselves
    • How reality deviates from the model presented in class

     WEEK 8: HW2 due
    Read the volunteer dilemmas (handout) and decide how you will react under each scenario. For each write a brief paragraph explaining your choice.
     WEEK 12: HW3 due
    Think of a real situation you have experienced, in which someone played an informal third party role. Briefly describe the situation and the role played by the third party. Analyze concisely the effect the third party had on the situation, speculating on the outcome that would have prevailed otherwise.
