Dr. Iryna Demko is a Research Associate at the Center for Economic Development in the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. Iryna specializes in economic impact studies. Prior to joining CSU, she focused her research on local and regional food systems as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Ohio State University. Iryna holds her Ph.D. degree in Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Economics from Penn State University, where she studied U.S. organic food trade. Iryna has co-authored peer-reviewed publications on agriculture, and reports on regional economic development, workforce development, and industry analysis. Iryna’s collaboration experience includes Organic Trade Association, and USDA’s Economic Research Service, and U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
