About the Exhibit
The Worship Experience is an exhibition of black and white photographic images made over several years at Morning Star Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio.
The title of the project comes from the closing of Sunday Services: "We have come to the end of another worship experience." Of course, Sunday is not the end of the worship experience, but a central part of it. Further, the phrase is key to understanding what Morning Star represents.
Worship involves ordinary people reaching beyond the everyday concrete, coming together in action, joy and prayer. Their power as a community grows in ministries beyond themselves.
The exhibit attempts to evoke the experience of being inside the worship community both on Sundays and during broader activities such as Christmas giveaway, Ministry to the Children of the Incarcerated, Children's Ministry, Homeless Feeding, GRE Training, and Teen Ministry.
