Computer Labs

Computer Labs are located in the lower level of the Urban Building (UR), Rooms UR39 & UR40. Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs manages and staffs the labs.

Lab Schedule

Please note that the Lab monitors are on duty except for Mondays 5:30pm to 7:30pm and Wednesdays 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Monday: 1:00pm to 9:00pm
Tuesday: 1:00pm to 9:00pm
Wednesday: 1:00pm to 9:00pm
Thursday: 1:00pm to 9:00pm
Friday: 1:00pm to 5:00pm

File Storage and Shared Drives

Authorization for file storage and access to Urban shared drives is available to urban students and students taking urban classes. To request access to these resources please send your request to urbansystems@csuohio.edu

Classroom Technology

Classroom media systems have been installed in all classrooms and larger conference areas. The media system consists of a PC, DVD/VCR player, and control panel for the projector and inputs. Users can also connect their laptops to this system. Instructions for connecting laptops to projectors in the urban labs are also available.
 

Atrium Technology

The Urban Atrium is equipped with a media system that includes a smart podium for use with a computer, DVD, and microphone system. Use of the atrium equipment requires urban staff to set-up and operate the equipment during an event. Please contact Bob Martel to request technology for your atrium event.
 

eLearning

Beginning Spring 2010, all courses will be provided with a BlackBoard course shell. Shells will be avaialble for ALL courses - face to face, online and hybrid. The University is asking faculty to use the course shell at minimum to provide the syllabus for students. Other uses of BlackBoard are aslo encouraged and appropriate for face to face classes. A tutorial for incorporating some of the features of BlackBoard into your class, as well as other resources, are listed below:
